Antiparticle to particle ratios and identified hadron spectra in Cu+Cu and Au+Au collisions

New results on antiparticle to particle ratios in Cu+Cu and Au+Au collisions at √ s NN = 62.4 and 200 GeV from the PHOBOS experiment at RHIC are presented. Transverse momentum spectra of pions, kaons, protons and antiprotons from Au+Au collisions at √ s NN = 62.4 GeV close to mid-rapidity are also discussed. Antiparticle to particle ratios are found to be remarkably independent of the collision...

High transverse momentum identified particle spectra in 200 GeV collisions from STAR

Significant baryon over meson enhancement was measured at RHIC in the intermediate transverse momentum range of pT = 2−4 GeV/c (”baryonmeson puzzle”). With STAR detector we were able to extend particle identification towards higher transverse momentum offering further insights into the particle production mechanisms at intermediate to high pT . In this paper we present results on charged pion, ...

Centrality dependence of charged-particle pseudorapidity distributions from d + Au collisions at sqrt[sNN] = 200 GeV.

Charged-particle pseudorapidity densities are presented for the d + Au reaction at sqrt[s(NN)] = 200 GeV with -4.2 < or = eta < or = 4.2. The results, from the BRAHMS experiment at BNL Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider, are shown for minimum-bias events and 0%-30%, 30%-60%, and 60%-80% centrality classes. Models incorporating both soft physics and hard, perturbative QCD-based scattering physics a...
